Kent "Give ’em Air" Mesplay

An intelligent, contemplative, low-key approach to politics -- now that’s refreshing! Kent Mesplay is well known to Green party leaders as an active grassroots Green who has helped build the party through his work on Nader’s campaigns and by running for the Green Party Presidential nomination in 2004, and for US Senate in 2006. As an Air Quality Inspector in San Diego, California, Mesplay is trained in science and engineering and has an educational background in bioethics and practical experience as an environmental regulator.

Mesplay’s platform calls for independence and decentralization through sustainable planning and "a sane energy policy, protecting ecosystems and species and providing an improved social safety net at the local level." He wants our government to demonstrate respect for other cultures in our foreign policy and with Native Americans. Kent promises to work to ensure that our nation is a leader of wind turbine technology, photovoltaics, fuel cell development, diversification and flexibility of fuel, cutting waste and inefficency and reducing global warming.
